I was also going to check on my IRA account while I was at the bank today .

I am going out of town this weekend and need to transfer funds from my savings account to my checking .

So even if I am in a town that does not have my bank , I will still be able to transfer my funds ?

  Yes , there are many advantages to having an online banking account .

Well there must also be disadvantages .

  There are a few . You may have to go to your bank to set up your online account .
And I will have to learn how to navigate the website .

  It is also a good idea to print out any transactions as proof in case there is a problem with the website .

Well , I will call my bank and ask if I have to come in to set up my online account .
